Removal and Installation

1.	Disconnect the battery "-" terminal.

2.	Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")

3.	Remove the engine room under cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")

4.	Loosen the drain plug and drain the coolant and remove the radiator cap to speed draining. (Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")

5.	Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")

Disconnect the radiator upper hose (A).

•	When installing radiator hoses, install as shown in illustrations.

Disconnect the heater hose (A).

•	When installing heater hoses, install as shown in illustrations.

8.	Remove the water temperature sensor connect (A).

9.	Remove the water hose (A).

10.	Disconnect the turbocharger coolant hose (A).

Remove the water temperature control assembly (A).

Tightening torque :

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 Ib-ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	Clean the surface of the water temperature control assembly before installing.

•	install the O-ring after wetting with water.

13.	Fill the radiator with water through the radiator cap and tighten the cap. (Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")

14.	Start the engine and check for leaks.

15.	Recheck engine coolant level.

Heater pipe

1.	Disconnect the battery "-" terminal.

2.	Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")

3.	Remove the engine room under cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")

4.	Loosen the drain plug and drain the coolant and remove the radiator cap to speed draining. (Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")

5.	Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")

6.	Remove the water temperature control assemly (A). (Refer to Cooling System - "Water Temperature Control Assembly")

7.	Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Intake Manifold")

8.	Disconnect the water return hose (A) and oil cooler hose (B).

9.	Remove the delivery pipe form. (Refer to Engine Control / Fuel System - "delivery pipe")

10.

Remove the Heater pipe (A).

Tightening torque

M6 bolt and nuts :

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

M8 bolt :

18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)

11.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

12.	Fill the radiator with water through the radiator cap and tighten the cap. (Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")

13.	Start the engine and check for leaks.

14.	Recheck engine coolant level.
